Tue Mar 25, 2014 12:46 pm
It did for me. I listen to a tons of anime songs nowadays.
because of Nodame Cantabile, i listen to a lot of classical songs.
Sakamichi no Apollon , made me loved jazz
How bout you ? Did anime in general changed your taste in music ? Or any anime in specific ?

Yes, it did. Even from the first time I've watched anime, I started to listen anime/j pop songs more than usual. I could still remember the times when me and my cousins were singing the Voltes V op like crazies.
I still listen to other types of music, especially rap and RnB but they only make part of the 2% of non-anime songs saved in my mp3 player.

It did~~
And I can't really explain why~~
Before, I only listen to slow rock genre but now, I listen to different song genre and it's because of Anime.
Now, 60% of songs in my cellphone are all Japanese and Anime songs...
Nowadays, anime songs like Voltes V is being taught in high school.... IT'S TRUE!!!
My Instructor in MAPEH taught us that~~~
Anyway... the only anime song that has most impact to me is Kimi ga Sora Datta (You were my Sky) By Aki Misato...

It did for me. I can't explain why every time I listen to an anime song, I got the urge to download it immediately and set it to repeat until my ears got tired.
Before I listen to pop and rock, now my playlist mostly is filled with anime songs.

Mine is Aishiteiru by Kourin. It was the ending theme of Natsume Yuujinchou during its second season. The melancholic tone of the song never fails to grab me in the balls and before I knew it, the song has already ended. If you haven't heard this song yet, find it now, download it illegally and listen to it unitl you got tired of it.

Definitely yes. Before, I was contented listening to english songs, vocaloid songs and scandal band's songs. But then, my best bud infected me with anime theme songs and sice then, I've been into anime songs. Whatever genre it may be.

I can't say it changed, it broaden my horizon on Music. Back then I listen to Rock and HipHop. But Anime made me listen to J-Pop and J-Rock. First was mostly Scandal, AKB48, One OK Rock, The GazettE etc. Now I have lots of music from different artists or bands. Some are not even Anime OSTs so yeah. It didn't change' I was merely influenced :3

Yes but not in the sense that I no longer love JPop songs. Back then, I was so hype with all Anime and Jpop songs. But after listening to the opening themesong of Gundam Build Fighter (Back-On), Black Butler (SID), and some song of FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood, that's the turning point for me to listen and download JRock music.
I still love Anime songs and anything related to Anime

Weeeell... I'm not going to consider things through technicality because as what I have far observed, anime did not changed my taste of music. All it did was "introduction" to this new radicalism.
If anime changed my taste of music then I would have loved all the OSTs played on a certain anime series despite of it having a very shi**y rythm and tones, but it did not. I hated some of the OSTs. The others were so good that it's like I've heard them before which I don't know when, where, and why...

Yeah, it really did, I was like, liking the OP and ED themes of the old anime but the type of like that makes you just hum for them. And when i watched La Corda, It changed my whole perspective to Download all of the songs of Anime that I am watching.
Yeah, it also basically changes my perspective on choosing what to listen too. Anime Songs and sometimes vocaloid had always this deep meaning on which everyone can probably relate to.

I didn't particularly change my taste in music, it just added another. I was raised on Classic Rock, and as time went on i leaned more towards Metal and heavier rock. When i got into anime, i discovered that j-pop was something that my ears enjoyed, so some songs of that genre joined my long list of music.
More than anything though, i would have to say that anime titles such as Spice and Wolf and Haibane Renmei really got me into some music that I was never really into. The softer piano/folk/instrument type of music. Since seeing those series i have found myself constantly letting myself drift off into my imagination while listening to their soundtracks. And i love it. Nothing has brought me more calm.
So while it didn't change my taste, i am glad such a thing was introduced into my life.
