How our planet has changed for the last three decades..
Sun Aug 04, 2013 8:37 pm
Google Time Lapse helps to see how our planet has changed during the last three decades (1984-2012).
"How did Google took these photos when they started year 1998?"
Answer : NASA and the U.S. Geological Society have been gathering high-res images of the earth for 40 years through their Landsat satellites. Google worked with these two organizations to clean up and curate some of these images, and it also partnered with Time to present these timelapse images along with write-ups.
