Which version of Pokemon should I have?

There are soooooo many versions of pokemon games ..
Like, Red, Blue, Yellow, White, Black, Gold, Silver, FireRed, LeafGreen, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black 2, White 2, X and Y ..

X and Y but it's not yet released haha!
Go and pick Black 2 and White 2 for the latest Pokemon released game, but you may also try Pokemon Emerald and Crystal :D

You should play all versions of pokemon and the upcoming X and Y

If you can play up to black and white in an emulator, play it in this order.
1.Yellow or Fire Red or Leaf Green.(Although yellow is older,I still recommend that because that is the closest to the story of Kanto Region)
2.Crystal or Soul Silver or Heart Gold(Again your choice, crystal is older but closer to the story so pick whichever one you like)
3.Emerald( Combination of Ruby and Sapphire so you really don't need to bother with those two anymore)
4.Platinum(Same as the above. Combination of Diamond and Pearl so just play this one to save time)
5.Black or White depending on your preference

Black and White 2 is really good!

Maybe the pokemon X and Y

My opinion (in order):

Pokemon LeafGreen and FireRed - 1st batch

Pokemon Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald - 2nd batch

Pokemon HeartGold and Soul Silver - 3rd batch

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl - 4th batch

Pokemon Black and White - 5th batch

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 - 6th batch


Pokemon X and Y - not released but this could be the last one.

each generation includes around 100 more or less pokemon. The gameplay havent changed much since the 1st generation, they added double battles or triple battles but thats it. Its the same pokemon game we all grown up on. I say get the latest one if you havent played any pokemon game yet.

Wait for the X and Y this coming October it'll be available in NDS3 soooo you better have it :D
