[Introduction] Tokyo Ghoul
Fri Sep 12, 2014 6:53 pm
Tokyo Ghoul (Japanese: 東京喰種-トーキョーグール- Hepburn: Tōkyō Gūru?) is a manga series by Sui Ishida, serialized in Shueisha's seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump since September 2011. The manga has been collected in twelve tankōbon volumes as of June 2014. An anime television series adaptation by studio Pierrot started airing on Tokyo MX on July 3, 2014. Funimation has licensed the anime series for streaming and home video distribution in North America.
The story follows Ken Kaneki, a college student who meets a woman named Rize Kamishiro at Anteiku, a coffee shop. They share an interest in literature and plan a date. While walking Rize home, Ken is attacked by her. Rize reveals that she is a ghoul, a human-like creature that hunts and devours human flesh. As she is about to finish him off, she is crushed by a falling platform. Kaneki is taken to the hospital in critical condition. The doctor decides to transplant Rize's organs into Ken. He then must deal with life as a half-human/half-ghoul, including interacting with ghoul society and its conflicting factions, while striving to keep his identity secret from other humans.
Status: Ongoing sugoi.

It is brutal. Even the TV version (which is a lot more wholesome than the BD one) makes me whimper at the violent scenes @_@ Both the Anime and Manga are great. If more detail sa plot, I recommend reading the Manga first.
12 episodes are not enough for this X'D I also want this to have another season.
