What do you think of the first episode? Do you think it lives up to the hype it got?

And would you watch it on dub or subs?

I've only watched it ones on Animax. I like it being sub only. Well I really don't watched dub anime since I'm not really used to it. I better watch it being sub even though I really don't understand what they are saying. Space Dandy is a good anime but it doesn't really suit my taste.

Here's what I think:

Original anime from Bones is instantly on my watch list. They are the masters when it comes to story. Considering how Eureka Seven and Darker than Black are two of my top favorites. Space Dandy caught my attention.

Next is the staff. Watanabe Shinichiro ( Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Sakamichi no Apollon ) is one hell of a director. In CB and SnA, this director paired up with Yoko Kanno to make the soundtracks. This classic duo of Jazz and anime has been proven successful in Cowboy Bebop, not to mention Sakamichi no Apollon. Space Dandy is no different.

The story , it seems like, is a parody of some sort. The humor it brings is exceptional, the best. It is designed to invoked laughter.

Personal opinion is wow. This is massive. This is hysterical and hilarious ! What a good way to kick off 2014 eh ? The animation is fluid and smooth. Combined it with an awesome soundtracks of classic Jazz, this is hella dope.

This is legend happening in your eyes guys. We're making history here.

I rated the first episode a 10 because I was really amazed on how the ep was done. And the animation, wow, the animation was amazing, really fluid.

That's how I want my sakugas. Bones do really deliver the best animations out there, even better than KyoAni.

Second episode is out and this time I watched it with subs. Better than the first and the fluid animation is still there. I hope they could maintain it as it is but we're talking about Bones so.., they could maintain it.
