Comic Alley: Home of fake anime goods.

We all know Comic Alley is the no. 1 anime store in the Philippines (I guess >_<). But DYK that Comic Alley is a home of fake anime goods. Yes! I just knew it not so long ago, I knew it from a great collector and a figure photographer. She said "I felt sad sa Comic Alley ka pa nabili ng figures." and it's true, I'm a victim. They sell nendoroids for P650 while it's original price ranges from P1500-P3000 and figmas for only more or less P1000 while it's original price ranges from P2000-P5000. The staffs and crews knew it also, may testimony na napasabi sya ng malakas na "bootlegs naman binibenta nila dito ee." and the salesman heard it and replied "alam ko po na bootlegs binebenta ng store na to kaya ni minsan hindi ako bumili dito." (from revoltech group page member). Siguro kasama na rin sa orientation ng crews yun. (hahaha) that's all :) be aware otakus :) sobrang mabubulaklak din ng salita ng crews dun (lols). haha kung figures na authentic ang hanap mo eh wag ka talaga dun pero kung anime accessories lang naman ok na din sakanila wag lang din cosplay stuffs kasi overpricing sila eh

I still have this Maehara Shinobu Figure which I got from their Las Pinas Branch back in 2003 or 2004. (No longer in active display though)

For some reason, Comic Alley had gone down the gutter. Nowadays, majority of the items they sell are bootlegs including anime accessories..

Assuming one has enough funds, he or she should go buy somewhere else..

yeah i saw it too some of their figures are class A but some of them are original too... I always check it before i buy xD

I know that the products they sell are bootlegs (well not all). I bought few nendos from them and it costs 650php (more or less) but before i purchase them i check the paint job first ... if its good then ill buy it -- if not then screw it. XD

i cant give any local stores pero alam cuh meron sa grrenhills (not really sure) :) pero kung orig figures..

Comic Alley sells original items before, way back 2005 I think. It's kinda sad that their items now were bootlegs. Kaya nga ang tawag ng ilan dun Bootleg Alley. All of their items now were from China. They work as distributor. Parang bahay nga lang main office nila. I only buy posters there and mouse pads. If you want original nendos and figmas, you can go to Greenhills.

i can't wait to open there branch here at SM Baguio City.., im still Hoping there will be a branch here ang hirap kasi kung baba pa ako at bumili pa sa ibang place eh

di naman ako bumibili ng nendroid sa comic alley dahil di ko type bumili ng mga ganyan. mas prefer ko yung mga posters.
Pero, nakatulong na rin ito para sa akin. madali kasi ako magoyo ng mga tindero
