Favorite Final Fantasy Game
Mon Dec 10, 2012 2:06 pm
First topic message reminder :
Hi guys, just wondering if you ever played a final fantasy game. If so, what is your favorite entry in the series? Mine is FFVIII since it was the very first FF I ever played and that was what got me into RPG's. Followed very closely by FFIX because the story and music in that game is just too damn good!!! Anyway, share your thoughts guys..

I feel that LR will have epic fail all over it...I just hope that FFXV will be not like FFXIII
PS1-Cloud,Squall,Zidane
PS2-Tidus,Vaan
PS3-Lightning,Lightning,Lightning
See the difference? If you dislike a certain character in the PS1 time, there is an alternative, the same with the PS2. But in the PS3,you have no choice, you either like Lightning or don't play FF at all.
XIII versus I nearly forgot that...Agito never made it to america
can you blame if people are looking for english patches

English patches are more often than not full of bugs. By the way' is the game fully patched by now??mr.kudos wrote:Squallgrieve wrote:Yeah,I was really looking forward to playing type 0(agito) but Japan decided to be selfish and hog the game to themselves.mr.kudos wrote:Squallgrieve wrote:Let's hope that if they ever decide to release XIII Versus,it can redeem the PS3 era. Just did a quick search on the patch. It appears that the team that was suppose to translate it abandoned it after the basic stuff were translated(pause, menu etc). They said that the game was "encrypted really hard". Hope someone picks up the translation soon or it gets localized this year. *fingers crossed*

I doubt that a American localization of the game will continue since the Vita is already in the trend...
Instead of Agito...let's hope for FFX in the vita! :Cat Emote2:

Which reminds me,which do you like more, the experience point system or the sphere grid system??? I say keep it both. EXP for HP,MP,STR,DEF,etc and the skill tree for skills like Mug,Haste,Cure,etc.mr.kudos wrote:Squallgrieve wrote:Let's hope it's the international version. Dark Aeons + Penance = WIN

I prefer both as well...because it motivates me to train more...unlike in FFXIII it easy and faster to get the abilities and level up no challenge at all...
For me, I call leveling up and ability obtaining...TRAINING

Yeah hehe. Nothing beats a good old fashioned level grinding just to beat the super bosses haha. The weapons in VII, Ultima and Omega Weapon in VIII,Ozma in IX,Nemesis and the dark aeons and penance in X. Please not super bosses again...I'm so pissed with them sometimes I scream at my television for being so annoying for not beating them haha...but that's the fun part of Final Fantasy wherein you can't beat the bosses and that motivates you to level up....which is the fun part...and when the super bosses are defeated sometime we scream "FINALLY IT'S OVER!" HOOORAY!!!!

The only boss I find annoying is Yiazmat from FFXII. It's like they got lazy and decided to make a boss that is not as strong as Penance but something with buttloads of HP. I mean, 50,000,000 what the hell?!mr.kudos wrote:Squallgrieve wrote:Yeah hehe. Nothing beats a good old fashioned level grinding just to beat the super bosses haha. Let's hope they don't change anything but the graphics and the addition of challenges. I would very much like to see the Squall and Rinoa "Ragnarok Scene" in HD CGI. Remake 7,8,9 instead of new installments if they have no fresh new ideas.mr.kudos wrote:FFVII,VIII and IX deserves and HD Collection

Guys, there's a rumor going around that Versus XIII will be moved to the PS4 and will have another unveiling in 2014 and apparently, it is dropping the Versus XIII title so I don't know if it will still be part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis Universe. Well, that kind of explains why there is no update on Versus XIII for such a long time. If it turns out to be true, it's kinda sad that the PS3 time was all Lightning..anyway, here's hoping Lightning Returns can redeem the series and Versus XIII will still be for the PS3.
