- Kinji Tōyama is a student at Tokyo Butei High, a universal educational facility. At this school, students undertake special training in order to learn the path of the Butei, which is a national qualification permitting its holders to arm themselves and capture criminals. The Butei were established to counter the worsening crime conditions, with training in various specialized fields. One day, Kinji decides to quit the Academy, until he is mysteriously attacked by the Butei Killer, a notorious criminal hunting down Butei with passion. The elite Assault prodigy Aria H. Kanzaki comes to his rescue. From this point on, Kinji's future as a Butei changes drastically.

Personal Comment:
i do not know why a good anime like this has been underrated though it really has a nice story maybe because it was too short and there are still too many mysteries to be solved and some questions that has been leaved unanswered like rekii's real name the name of riko's parents etc still this anime has perfectly combined the action and romance genre specially the relationship between kinji and aria

Most of the viewers says underrated because its just another TSUNDERE show (Shakugan no Shana and Zero no Tsukaima) and yes, viewers find it 'BITIN' cause there are some still secrets that have been mentioned in the anime that was not revealed.

but compared to shakugan no shana which is more dark and zero no tsukaima which focuses on romance hidan no aria is lighter and it perfectly combines the action and romance genre and yes there are still many questions that has not yet been answered so expect for a season 2 of the anime because there really is a season 2 of it

So true, I agree that the action and romance are perfectly combines in this anime and I'm also looking forward on how they unveil the answers of the questions left without an answer.
I already read its novel and Its definitely worth to watch when the anime is released..

Maganda yung action na may kasamang romance. Underrated siya kasi tsundere nga yung bidang babae pero maganda naman
