SIBYL SYSTEM , a secret organization They work alongside the government to manage crime in Japan. Sibyl are the founders of the Public Safety Bureau and rule over the Enforcers and the country with an iron fist. Sibyl controls the country's system with a super computer of the same name. This computer manages all the scanners, guns and measuring systems in Japan.

Psycho-Pass is the actual psychological certification given to a person based on the various measurements of his or her psychology and personality to provide a grade on how good a their mental stability is and measure a person's criminality rate. This measurement will determine if the person has the ability to carry out crimes or not. If the measurement exceeds a certain amount, the person is branded as a latent criminal and locked up to protect the public, even if no crime was committed.

Hues are used to messure someone's emotions, such as if they are happy, sad, angry, depressed etc. It is unknown how the Bureau checks people's Hues, but when they process it, it comes in a variety of colours. The colours state how the person is feeling at the moment. For example, if someone's mood is brighter, their Hues may range from light purple or pink. However, if the person is depressed or frustrated, their Hue will appear as green in colour. Unfortunately, Hue checks aren't always the best way of searching for criminals, as someone's Hue can be perfectly fine, while their PP is exceedingly high. If you're Hue goes up even more, it will eventually become cloudy.

The Portable Psychology Diagnostic and Suppression System aka The Dominator is a special handgun carried by Inspection and Enforcement officers on assignments. The gun is able to assess exactly who is holding it and will only work for "valid users." The gun can also only be heard by its holder.

By aiming the gun at anyone, its system can instantly calculate the level of criminality the subject possesses. When this value exceeds certain levels, the gun will then be able to fire. If the level does not exceed fixed levels, the muzzle will not open and a safety device will be activated to prevent the user from pulling the gun's trigger.

The Dominator has four modes: The Paralyser, Eliminator, Disintegrator and Lethal Decomposer.

Akane Tsunemori is a newly assigned Inspector of Unit 1. Akane is a Considered a model citizen due to her ever calm demeanor and for passing the exams with the highest score for employment on several public sectors and private corporations. She decided to join the police due to being the only place where no one obtained a score as high as hers, thus she believes to be able to do something there that no one else can.

There, Akane Meets Her fellow inspector Nobuchika Ginoza , and Enforcers Shinya Kogami , A former Inspector , but turned out a Latent Criminal due some reason , Kagari Shuusei , Yayoi Kunidzuka , And Tomomi Mazaoka , and Shion Karanomori , a lab assistant in the Analysis Department. The Enforcers are Latent Criminals , which was picked by SIBYL to work in The Ministry of Welfare Public Safety Bureau Criminal Investigation Department or Public Safety Bureau for Short.

Akane and the Team Faces many cases , which will excite you and thrill you , and some moments are funny and dramatic too.
