Anime based on video games...

I wanna hear your opinion...anu masasabi ninyo sa mga anime series na based sa video games...
good or bad?

personally di lahat ng mga anime based on video games ay masama.....pero meron iba na tlga thumbs down...

syempre maganda din.. gaya ko na computer game addict at anime addict, parang lalo akong ginaganahan sa mga kinaaadikan ko.. XD

but some video game anime adaptations are just thumbs down...ang isang magandang halimbawa ay yun Gunparade March and Orchestra

yun gunparade march kunlang sa story while gunparade orchestra ang layo sa game mismo...such disappointment

Di rin naman masama un eh kaso lng ung ibang laro (kalahati ng mga laro na nag-originate sa Japan) di nila pinapayagan na gawing Animepara maiwasan ang mgamanlalaro na mai-spoil

Good naman , gamer at anime addict to eh . Kaya para sakin , thumbs up. Kahit na yung iba ay parang tanga lang. Hahaha .. :D

you must be referring to .Hack anime series...the .Hack anime's has a good story...and it's based on a PS2 game series...

As for video games having anime adaptations, pinapanood ko lang yung mga nalaro ko na and so far satisfied naman ako sa lahat. Wala pa namang thumbsdown para sa akin. I'm looking forward to Devil Survivor 2 anime adaptation this year. I hope they don't ruin it. Ang ganda ng story nun sa game so I really hope na maganda rin sa anime and wag sana i-alter ng sobra ang story as much as possible na halos mag-iba ang story from the game because if they do that, wala na, bagsak na para sa akin.

Persona 4 the animation is a good adaptation, IMO :)

I personally don't compare them.

Anime is one thing. The game is another.

When i'm watching the anime that based from a video game, i treat it as if the video game doesn't exist and think that this adaptation is original.
In that way, I can judge the method of storytelling ( clear or vague ) , originality of characters ( realistic and originality ), etc. etc.
Same applies to VN , Manga, LN , Novels, Books, Video Game.

That's just me

Tales of the Abyss is a good one. But the anime jumps from one place to another so quickly that the only way you can keep up or even remember the places is if you have played the game. also the battle scenes don't do the games justice. Only Jade managed to stick. didn't even see Lost fon Drive, Brilliant Overlord, Fortune's Arc, etc.

It's not that good because there are some factors that the only game has but the Anime doesn't.

I agree with you 100%...tales of the abyss and tales of symphonia anime adaptation is a thumbs up...the most disappointing one is tales of eternia anime adaptation
