The story begins when 30,000 Japanese gamers are trapped in the fantasy online game world Elder Tale. What was once a sword-and-sorcery world is now the real world. The main lead Shiroe attempts to survive with his old friend Naotsugu and the beautiful assassin Akatsuki.

It has the same concept with SAO

Some say Log Horizon is a copy of SAO , and SAO is basically a copy of .hack

Log Horizon is fun in its own though. Will weekly follow.

LOL, the MC in log horizon is more interesting than Kirito. there's someone i know who have read the manga of Log Horizon and said it was really great. much better than SAO. what i'm really hoping for in this anime is "Character Development" w/c SAO lacked. ^_^

My only problem about SAO was how the story was told. I turned to SAO hoping to see our mc survive that virtual world and overcome all odds but what did I ended up watching? Kirito picking up girls like they're some f***ing pokemon.

Well, the hype is the one to blame for. I just hope this anime satisfies me or else...

they're almost the same but Log Horizon is better than Sword art online.. Log horizon (party story).. Sao (solo player and love story)

Already Watch Both as a Online RPG Gamer i can say Log Horizon is way better than SAO in my Opinion.   <<< SAOFAGS

Please watch Log Horizon. it's unfair to compare it to SAO. SAO is more mainstream and yes they both have the same concept that players are trapped in the game. but in Log Horizon, (oh. i guess i can't tell a lot. spoiler alert!) well, i like SAO. just. watch each anime and enjoy it as it is.

Though they are in the same world. I have to disagree that this anime looks like SAO.


SAO has miserable love story and a miserable story. I must say that LH focuses on their current virtual world and when you died, you respawn but at least lost some of your memory.
