[INTRODUCE]: Mouryou no Hako
Fri Jul 06, 2012 1:30 pm
Producers: Madhouse Studios
Genres: Mystery, Supernatural, Thriller, Seinen
Rating: R - 17 (violence & profanity)
Mouryou no Hako (Box of Goblins or The Mouryou’s Box in English) is about a group of investigators who decided to look into mysterious schoolgirl murders. The murderers have been known to dismember (“chop-chop the body” ~LOL) said schoolgirls and place every part they dismembered into different boxes. Apparently, the dismembered schoolgirls are still very much alive (so much for murders).
If anyone’s a fan of Clamp out there, you’d certainly recognize the art style and the animation proves to be rather eerie when time arises. For, instance, during a slow motion sequence, lip synch is definitely present and to add to that certain factor of eeriness, the sounds have been showed down too.
For new, mysterious and creepy anime that is worth watching, Mouryou no Hako will be sure to keep you up all night.

I came across this because I was researching for Nerawareta Gakuen's Director. Nakamura Ryousuke sensei.
I feel like I needed to watch Box of Goblins to be able to understand the movie ( Nerawareta Gakuen ). Not only that, I also came across Blue Literature series. He also directed episode 9-10 , Titled: Run, Melos! written by Osamu Dazai. One thing for sure that Box of Goblins' OST were also used in Run, Melos! but that didn't bother me a bit.
All I can say about Box of Goblins is that the anime has really intense storyline. The anime is deep, philosophical, and thought provoking. I recommend this to them anime Elitists.
