I think I know what you want. With the Mystery and stuff. Me too have been searching for such masterpiece like Death Note and CG. Sadly, haven't found any as good as the story. But if you want similar(not quite though) try Another(horror) and Mirai Nikki(gore) if you haven't yet :)

Oh and try Durarara and Bacanno! if you haven't yet :)
