We proceeded to the dining room where the client prepared some food for the both of us. There, I listened intently as he explained his situation to me. He inherited the house from his grandfather a month ago. Ever since then, he felt a strong presence in the house. The maids were the first to feel it. It felt as if someone was watching them while they worked until it came to a point where one of the maids was pushed down the stairs. From then on, he was left alone to care for himself. The client was still explaining his story when I heard someone crying again. I motioned for him to stop talking and we both listened. This time we both heard it. Looking around, I couldn't see anything and neither did the client. But then a new sound came from under the table. We both looked down and what we saw chilled us to the bone.
The words "Get out" were scratched under the table. There was a bloody butter knife lying on the floor and suddenly another chill ran down my spine. It was the same knife that the little kid was holding a while ago.
