The Demon

It was Friday the 13th, 7:00 in the morning. I was just sitting there at the bottom corner of my bed, staring blankly ahead at the dusty mirror, Looking deeply in the reflection of my eyes. As I stare deeply and the time passes while remembering the vivid dream I had last night. I uttered “The world will change” when a familiar voice suddenly called me and brought me back to the reality. “Your breakfast is ready; I’ve served your favorite dishes.” Shirley Said.


My wife Shirley is a tall, slender, white girl with a long straight black hair. She has an angelic face, so innocent that any men would be dreaming of. I know I am lucky guy until the cogs of fate begin to turn. However, slow or fast the sudden turn of event is, I just can’t comprehend it. I just know there is something wrong with this situation.


As I am going down the stair I said to myself “I love her...I really love her so much that I am willing to sacrifice my own life just for her” and then I grinned. “You really are beautiful” I said it to her as soon as I saw her radiant face bathing in the sunlight. The sun rays passing through the windows which accentuated her features even more and she replied to me with a gentle laugh and then said “Thank you”.


At that time I suddenly moved closer to her and I KILLED “HER”. A lot of thoughts came into my mind. I am trying to convince myself that I did this for our sake. “Even though I said I am willing to give my life to her, I just can’t seem to see that she will be living alone without me so I decided to kill her in order not to broke my promise to her, you will never feel pain with me by your side and if you ever do that would be the first and the last pain you will ever remember”.


A tears falls down from my eyes, I said it to myself too that it would be the last tear that would fall from my eyes. I looked at the clock. “Its 8:59 in the morning ...” I sighed and smiled. The reason that I did this is the reason of each of us going to the extent of killing someone or is it just MY FUCK-UP PERSONALITY, those were my last thoughts and at that same time I died.
