The gameplay is well-played, good graphics, great storyline, clean system, truly shows how great FF is. The only thing I can say: when will its next sequel will come?? I'll definitely be waiting.
I really recommend this game to everyone.

How the fantasy is written:
a review/walkthrough in the Dissidia Final Fantasy Series
History:
- Spoiler:
- Dissidia Final Fantasy is an Action-RPG, fantasy fighting game for PSP created by Square Enix in 2008 as part of the company's celebration of 20 years of Final Fantasy. The game has brought hype to all FF fans and gamers all over the world. In 2011, its sequel, Dissidia Duodecim, and its Demo, Dissidia Duodecim Prologus, has been released, expanding the storyline, adding new in-game system and characters.
Plot:
- Spoiler:
- Cosmos, the Goddess of Harmony. Chaos, the God of Discord. Two gods rivaling for eons have summoned warriors from different lands (namely the main characters from the FF franchise as well as its counterpart villains) and lead them in savage war. Amidst the battles, the fantasy is written.
Game Versions/Controls:
- Spoiler:
- so there were two main versions: the first Dissidia, and the Duodecim. Duodecim and Prologus share the same controls and instructions, the only difference are: the storyline, the achievements, the rewards, and character scene, such as Aerith of FFVII appearing as an Assist Character in Prologus yet won't appear in Duodecim; and Prishe of FFXI, Gilgamesh of FFV and Feral Chaos who can be unlocked in Duodecim yet not available in Prologus. Elseways, the two games were connected, giving the player of Prologus a chance to use his Prologus GAME DATA on creating one on Duodecim, unlocking some of the achievements.
Elseways, here's the basic controls:
Analog Stick: move character
D-Pad: Move Camera
L button: indicate target lock (target lock is Blue if the target is the opponent, green for EX Core, red for Assist character, and none if target is neutral)
Triangle: Walk on wall, Grind or move to other place. Press Triangle again while doing this to quickly dash towards opponent.
Square: HP attack
Circle: Brv attack, can be pressed multiple times depending on the type of character
X: Jump
R + X: dodge, add with Analog to dodge in different directions
R + Triangle: Dash towards opponent
R + Square: Activate EX Mode, then press Square after landing an HP attack to activate EX Burst / Activate EX Revenge if staggering from attacks while EX Gauge is full (only in Duodecim)
R + Circle: Activate summonstone (if summonstone is manual-type)
L + Circle: Summon Assist then deal an Assist Brv Attack. Can press X if it appears to quickly teleport behind opponent (only in Duodecim)
L + Square: Summon Assist then deal an Assist HP Attack. Can press X if it appears to quickly teleport behind opponent (only in Duodecim)
note that basic moves can be done in ground and in midair, yet some moves are limited only in ground or in midair.
Tips:
- Spoiler:
- Here's some tips that I can share:
1. Listen to what the PSP will say. The game will be giving you instructions from time to time, so pay attention. Even a single cutscene can give you a gist on what you can do on empowering your character.
2. Do a daily grind. DFF is an Action-RPG Fighting game. In short, battles here are simulated the same as Tekken and other fighting games. The difference: your equipment, accessories and abilities dictate your character, as well as the level of your character. For example, your character is Lv20, yet your opponent if Lv40. Of course you can't easily bring it down without optimizing the equipment and empowering your character. So make a habit to always play the game to learn the do's and dont's.
3. Read game manuals. There are several cases where you can't easily think of a way on how to get through. Example, beating a boss which is terribly hard to beat (consider Feral Chaos here) and which items will yield an another item. Of course you can explore, but it's much better if you have some info in hand.
4. Share the game.
Walkthrough/Preview:
- Spoiler:
- Here's what you can see in the Home Menu:
The Story Mode lets you play the story of different characters to learn and advance in the story. Certain items and goodies can be unlocked while playing this. This is also the best way on learning the DFF's gameplay.
The Battle Mode let's you simulate a battle by choosing your character, the AI character, the stage, CPU strength and behavior. This is also a good way on exploring each character's abilities.
The Arcade Mode lets you play against a lineup of opponents by using a preset character (characters that you can't optimize). There's the Quick game and Normal Mode, as well as the Time Attack. In Duodecim, custom characters can now also be used.
There's the Duel Coliseum, where you can use a certain character to battle different opponents. Medals will be given on each character defeated, as well as rewards, where you have to spend your accumulated medals to get one. In the first DFF, this is the best way to level up all the characters. In Duodecim, it is renamed as Labyrinth, has the same instruction, only this time, the character that you'll use is unequipped. Don't worry, you'll get the items as you explore.
And there's the Communication's Mode, where you can simulate battle online. Some rare items which can be used to create ultimate items can be get here.
The PP Catalog let's you unlock characters, stages, BGMs, etc. by using the PP that you accumulate on every battle.
The Museum lets you watch the cutscenes, view the character's info, and lots more. In Duodecim, it also lets you create an Official Quest, or take one. Official Quests in Duodecim are downloadable contents (DLC) that you can download on the net or in the PSP Store.
The Data Config shows your name in GAME DATA, the bonus day, as well as your play plan. Play plans are categorized as Casual, Average, and Hardcore: Two bonus play plans, the Grind Lover and Treasure Hunter, can be unlocked in the PP Catalog.
The Options lets you change some parts of the game such as the battle intro, sound settings, etc. You can also read some tips here.
The Mognet can be accessed by pressing the Square while in the Home Menu. It lets you see the Calendar, indicating the Bonus Day and the different bonuses given on some day. Oh! Moggles here give you letters everyday, which sometimes give items. So always remember on reading them.
so here's what you can see in the battle:- Spoiler:
Let me discuss every little detail:
1. Of course, you can see your character and your opponent's character. Below show each character's Hit Points (HP), Bravery (Brv), EX Gauge, Assist Gauge (in Duodecim), and Stage Brv.
2. The blue bar is the HP, and below are the numbers corresponding to how much HP a character has. It's first blue when its full, turns green when damaged, then turns red if near death. The HP can be damaged by a HP attack.
3. The numbers above the HP is the Brv. It shows how much damage you can deal when landing an HP attack (ex. if your Brv=1000, then the damage to your opponent by your HP attack is 1000). Landing a Brv attack may deplete your opponent's Brv and may cause Break status. If you inflicted Break, the Stage Brv will be added to your total Brv, giving a chance for your next HP attack to deal massive damage. While in Break, HP attack is 0, and you have to wait for it to replenish. Also, your Brv will need time to recover after landing an HP attack, so wait first for your Brv to recover before rushing.
4. The gauge in the left is the EX Gauge, and can be filled by collecting EX Force, tiny blue particles produced when you are battling, or by collecting EX Cores, which appears in the stage subsequently. Filling this up will let you engage to EX Mode, where your stats increases, regenerating your HP passively, and giving you bonus abilities depending on your character, such as Squall equipping Lionheart, Ultimecia juctioning the Griever, Zidane and Kuja going into Trance mode, and lots more. Successfully landing an HP attack while in EX Mode may let you use EX Burst, zooming the screen as you deal Brv Attack then follow up with an HP attack on an awesome moment and scene. Examples are Squall's Renkozuken, Cloud's Omnislash and Kefka casting Light of Judgement. You will return to normal mode if your EX Gauge depletes or after landing an EX Burst. In Duodecim, you can activate an EX Revenge if you're staggering in damage then pressing the EX Mode activation button, slowing the field and your opponent, giving you time to counterattack.
5. In Duodecim, the two bars below the HP is the Assist Gauge. This fills up as you do any type of attack even if it doesn't hit. If one bar fills, you can summon an assist to deal Assist Brv attack, and if two bar fills, you can do an Assist HP attack. Whenever your assist attacks, it depletes your opponent's EX Gauge, and may cause and EX Break if your opponent is in EX Mode. Your Assist Gauge will be locked if your Assist character has been attacked or if its attack is blocked.
6. The stage varies on how you choose. Whenever you see a yellow arrow in the stage, you can press (Triangle) to either walk through walls, move on other places, or grind on the edges. Stage materials here can be destroyed on different ranges, such as when you're landing an HP attack then sending your opponent away. The stage bravery on the other hand, may change depending on the stage. Certain maps have changing stage brv, and sometimes have traps, warping you and sapping your brv. So pay attention.
7. The red stone at the right of the Brv is the Summonstone. Activating this will give different effects depending on which or what summonstone you equipped.
rewards such as Experience Points (EXP-used to level up characters), Ability Points (AP-used to master abilities) and Purchase Points (PP-used in buying goodies in the PP Catalog) are obtained at the end of the battle.
here's a sample vid of the battle:- Spoiler:

League of Legends Review
"Everyone's doing it. Guys are doing it with girls. Girls are doing it with other girls. Some get together in groups and do it! Some even do it with complete strangers! Some people like to do it hardcore. Some people like to watch others doing it. Over 20 million people are doing it. Safe to say, everyone's doing it." - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 advertisement
No, this isn't a review of Call of Duty. I opened with the advertisement quote because it is very applicable to League of Legends' current situation. There aren't quite 20 million people playing the game daily, but the actual figure is very close. Everyone and their grandmother (probably their dog, too) is playing League of Legends now, and the player base continues to grow larger. If you're thinking about joining the horde of League fans around the world, continue reading for confirmation on why you should play this game.
Many existing GameFAQs reviews of this game are pretty outdated; League of Legends is updated regularly and much has happened since its release in 2009. I decided to write this review to bring justice to a game that has mostly been scorned by previous reviewers.
/ GAMEPLAY \
Overview:
League of Legends falls into the MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) genre, with MOBA being a term coined by Riot Games in order to break away from its DotA (Defense of the Ancients) roots. The MOBA genre is a sub-category of the Real-Time Strategy genre in which each player controls one character only. This character is called a champion in League of Legends, but could be called something else depending on which game you are playing. Creeps, or minions, are computer controlled characters that follow a very basic movement pattern and perform simple, predictable actions. Other computer controlled characters are called monsters, but they are neutral.
The object of a MOBA game - and League of Legends as well, obviously - is to destroy the other team's base, or Nexus, if League
terminology is to be used. There are three paths, called lanes, that extend from each team's base. These lanes are referred to by the player base as "top," "mid," and "bot." Three turrets act as sentinels in each lane, followed by two turrets that guard the Nexus. Champions in each lane are trying to shove down the turrets, last hit (deal the finishing blow on) minions to farm gold, and push their lane into the Nexus.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy
Genre: Action, Beat-'Em-Up
Developer: Natsume
Publisher: Bandai Namco, Destineer
Platform: Nintendo DS
Developer: Natsume
Publisher: Bandai Namco, Destineer
Platform: Nintendo DS
History
- Spoiler:
- The game originally released in Japan in July 2005, two days before the first Fullmetal Alchemist movie came out and it was relased in NA in 2006.
Plot
- Spoiler:
- The game spans the entire story of Fulllmetal Alchemist (the first animation, NOT Brotherhood). No need to tell the whole story because we all know it (for sure). :P
Gameplay
- Spoiler:
- This is a side-scrolling brawler type game just like the other classic titles such as Final Fight and Battletoads. The player controls Edward Elric, and his brother Alphonse Elric who often fight alongside him. The touchscreen feature is used to draw transmutation circles and to trigger special moves which are necessary to progress in the game. You can transmutate to create stone walls to cross a bed of spikes and flames, create traps, or summon cannons to break the walls. Most boss battles also require to use alchemy in oerder to defeat them.
FMA DS also features some bonus game modes and character modes in which you can replay the game using other characters like Roy Mustang, Scar, Louis Armstrong, Alphonse Elric, and Izumi Curtis.
Tips
- Spoiler:
- In crossing bed of spikes and you have alchemy symbols (the red symbols that float in the touch screen), you can charge your transmutation of wall by doing a long press (hold down the wall icon in the touch screen) . By doing that, you can summon 3 walls with an ease.
In battling with Cornello (first boss battle), no need to attack him. Just focus on the Chimeras he summons and by guarding yourself (creating walls to protect) from the gattling guns.
In battling with Greed (Armored), avoid all the attack until he jumps high. When he jumps, go immediately to the big transmutation circle. Run around the circle until he lands. After he lands, do a special transmutation. This will make him vulnerable and do combos. Repeat the process until you defeat him.
In battling with Wrath, do not attack in front of him becasue he will just dodge all your attacks. Wait him until he jumps. If that happens, run behind Wrath and summon cannons or do a devastating combo.
In battling with Sloth, summon cannons immediately. Once she got hurt, she will transform into her liquid state. Run towards her and do a special transmutation. This will make her vulnerable and do some combos. Repeat the steps until you defeat her.
In battling with Dante, do the same strategy just like what you did with Cornello.
Walkthrough
- Spoiler:
- No need for the walkthrough because the game is short. Just do the above tips. :P
My Gameplay Video
- Spoiler:
Rating
7 out of 10
Simple gameplay and not bad to play because you can still have fun in some tricky boss battles and some mini-games. If the game was not too short, I will give this a higher rating.

L + Square: Summon Assist then deal an Assist HP Attack. Can press X if it appears to quickly teleport behind opponent (only in Duodecim)
note that basic moves can be done in ground and in midair, yet some moves are limited only in ground or in midair.
Tips:
- Spoiler:
Here's some tips that I can share:
- Spoiler:
Here's what you can see in the Home Menu:
So always remember on reading them.
so here's what you can see in the battle:
- Spoiler:
Activating this will give different effects depending on which or what summonstone you equipped.
rewards such as Experience Points (EXP-used to level up characters), Ability Points (AP-used to master abilities) and Purchase Points (PP-used in buying goodies in the PP Catalog) are obtained at the end of the battle.
here's a sample vid of the battle:

@Swiss: haha tnx
anyways, that's what the rumors say. probably it will be released for PSVita since Dissidia is designed for portable console such as PSP.
Of course, I also like Cloud, especially in EX Mode (guard crusher? OH YEAH!) but my top picks are:
Warrior of Light - perfect for Brv to HP chain combo
Squall - for brv chain comboing (though i sometimes pick Prishe or Jecht)
Terra - for magic type attacks (Kefka and Yuna are subs)
Bartz - my favorite character. gets almost all abilities since they're attach to his attacks (he's a mimic) , plus he's deadly if you're on the same level with him when his Goblin Punch hits you!
@Kite: I agree with you. would be better if you could enjoy the game with its length, rather than get pissed because you can easily finish it in one seating, or because the game's darn too long to finish that you got bored playing it.

The Alien, The Military, and the Amnesiac:
a review/walkthrough in Prototype
History:
- Spoiler:
- Prototype is an action, adventure, sci-fi game developed by Activision (Call of Duty series) and Radical Entertainment (Scarface). It was released in 2009 and become popular because of its free-roam gameplay with its post-apocalypse setting. Later in 2011, its sequel, Prototype 2, is released.
Plot:
- Spoiler:
- New York City. A genetic experiment was conducted to a guy named Alex Mercer, who, after the experiment, lost all of his memories, break out of the lab, and got chased by the military because of his superpowers that he didn't had any idea where it came from. The next days, the experiment was revealed to be epidemic, spread out as a virus, infecting parts of the Manhattan population. Now, Alex must fight the military and the infected to clear his lost memories and to find out the reason of everything.
Game Versions/Controls:
- Spoiler:
- The game was released for PS3, XBox 360 and PC, the same as of its sequel. Here's the basic controls (I'll be giving the controls for PC, just align them on the controls in the console):
W,S,A,D: control character
1: activate main attack ability (claws, musclemass, hammerfist, whipfist, or blade)
2: activate disguise ability (activate as Alex or on disguise)
3: activate protection ability (shield or armor)
4: activate vision ability (thermal or infected vision)
E: grab, or hijack a vehicle
R: Show wheel of power (you can select here the main attack, protection or vision ability that you'll use when pressing the number keys above)
Shift: Sprint
Space: Jump, add with direction controls while in midair to perform an Air Dash, or with Space Bar to Glide
Left Click: main attack
Right Click: special attack
Esc: pause game, show pause menu
~: show Web of Intrigue
Tab: target
X: reset camera
there's the most that I know. check more of the controls here:
http://www.allgame.com/game.php?id=53315&tab=controls
Tips:
- Spoiler:
- here's some tips I wanna share:
1. Consume and adapt. Alex relieves his HP and his disguise by consuming a target (press E then Right click.) So learn how to blend in your environment to prevent being always chased out. Oh, as you progress, the military gets more strict, so you should know how to not let them alarmed that easily.
2. Vary your attacks. You can stick to left click-right click-left etc., but as you gain more powers, you should learn how to shift and vary your attacks. This will help you dispatch bosses and enemy units easily.
3. Roam around. There are alot of goodies while on free roam, so get them done for bonus points. Also, there are people that roam around and you can consume them for your Web of Intrigue, each memory of them lets you understand more of the story.
4. Save up. On every mission or kill, you gain Evolution Points (EP) that you use to purchase upgrages such as new abilities and attacks. Get lots of this and use them properly, since some of them were useful while some are not in some of the missions and on your strategy.
Walkthrough:
- Spoiler:
You play as Alex Mercer, the main man of the story. Do quests and the story progresses as you get more powers and abilities that you need in trashing those who get in your way. The game's basically a free roam just like GTA, only that the settings are different, and you can't get inside a car (well, cars here are being thrown away, but you can ride on a tank or on a chopper!)
So here's what you can basically see on the game:- Spoiler:
The red bar above shows your HP. It gradually regenerates when you're not doing anything, and depletes when you get hit. When it's full, its last part is filled with blue, called as Critical Mass, which lets you use a devastator attack, dealing the most damage on the enemy around. Below it shows some information that you need as you do your mission.
Below it is the Map, that shows your location, and some spots that you need to see, such as Mission checkpoint, targets for Web of Intrigue, etc. Note that red targets shown in the map are enemies, while white are neutral.
On its side is your disguise meter, shows if you alarm the military with your actions. Its gray if not alarmed, turns yellow when alarmed, and its bar is increasing, and when it turns red, the military has now full attention on you! So remember to always check this. On the other hand, the circle showing your disguise changes when you're riding a tank or a chopper.
Now, lemme discuss the powers that Alex can get.
As a mutant ala-X men character, Alex has high speed and strength. He can also run through walls and can consume anyone and use them as disguise. Oh, you can use some of the abilities of those you consumed. (Example, consuming a general of an army can give you the ability of Air Strike, calling the army to bombard the area in front of you. That is, if you maintained that consumed general as your disguise). He also has different visions that he can use on different missions, such as Thermal Vision that he can use against gas attacks, or Infected Vision when you want to see the infected, or those that will be infected sooner or later.
Now for the powers that Alex can you should take note:
1. Offensive Powers. Powers that Alex use to bring the pain.- Claws:
Transform your arms into three-edged claws. Mainly used for slicing and dicing opponents and for crowd controlling. Probably has the highest attack speed but deals only fair damage. Notorious for its Groundspike attack, summoning spikes below opponents for a major damage.
- Hammerfist:
Transform your arms into two big fists. Very useful for Area of Effect damage, though you get slower when using this. Probably the best pick on dispatching armored units.
- Whipfist:
Transform one of your arms into a blade-edged arm that can deal damage on long distances. Can deal damage on anything it hits, and provides the longest or range of attack. Recommended for long-rangers or for hijacking a vehicle from afar.
- Muscle Mass:
Transform your arms into two big muscled arms. Fully increases your melee attacks, that it can chunk off an opponent on a single charged attack. Best used with other attack abilities.
- Blade:
Transform one of your arms into a massive blade. Deals the utmost damage other than his powers. Probably the most useful if you wanna do a dive attack, or dispatching a large unit.
- Devastator:
The most powerful of attacks that Alex can initiate. This ability is only available when critical mass is active. Deals the greatest damage on a large area of effect, though requires some time to cast.
2. Defensive Powers. Save this up so that you won't be killed easily, as well to prepare for a counterattack.- Shield:
Transform one of your arms into a shield that guards you on attacks. Probably also used as an offensive means, since you can ram your opponents while sprinting as this power is equipped. Maintains defense until shield is destroyed, and take time for it to regenerate.
- Armor:
Let your body transform into an armored unit. Unlike the shield, it guards you on attacks coming from any direction. In exchange, you can't use some of the abilities such as Glide. since this is quite heavy.
- Critical Mass:
When your HP is full, a part of it is blue, which is called as the Critical Mass Mode. Use this to activate devastator attacks.
And then, you can do a free roam just like GTA if you hadn't started your mission yet. So have fun exploring!

Grand Chase
- General Details:
- Grand Chase (Korean: 그랜드체이스, lit. Grand Chase) is a free-to-play, two-dimensional side-scrolling MMORPG developed by the South Korean company KOG Studios
Grand Chase has servers in South Korea, Taiwan&Hong Kong, Brazil, Philippines, United States, Latin America, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia. Alternate names for Grand Chase include 3小俠 (Chinese: lit. Three Young Heroes) used on the Taiwan server; however, it has now been changed to 永恆冒險 (Eternal Adventures). Another name used previously was 彩虹骑士 (Rainbow Warriors) by the Chinese (Mainland) server. The reopening of the Chinese (Mainland) server will also use the name of the Taiwan&Hong Kong Server.
- Plot:
- In the beginning the Creator God created other gods to take care of the creation of the universe. In order to maintain balance, he also created the demonic tribes to take care of destruction when necessary. As the magical energy of the demonic tribes were considered "evil", instead of being placed in the material world with the other gods, they were separated into another reality, a magical dimension which then became known as Elyos. When it was deemed necessary, the tribes came to the material world through dimensional portals in order to spread destruction.
History Grand Chase
Eventually, part of the demonic tribes developed into the Asmodians, who considered themselves superior beings over the other demonic creatures and created a civilization on Elyos.
Meanwhile in the material dimension, the gods created a beautiful new world. Four goddesses led this process of creation: Ernasis, the goddess of war and courage, Lisnar, the goddess of love and spirits, Armenian, goddess of wisdom and harmony and Agnecia, the goddess of life and purity. Honoring the leader of the gods, Ernasis, the world was called Aernas.
At that time, Aernas was populated with three ancestor races: humans, elves and dwarves. The four Goddesses descended into the world to inspect its creation and, impressed with the creativity and courage of the humans, chose to accompany them in their process of evolution. While Ernasis, Lisnar, and Armenian headed for the region known as Archimedia, Agnecia headed east, where she faced a great evil and sacrificed herself to save the world.
The humans of Archimedia decided to honor the divine trio that was visiting them and christened the three Goddesses as Creators. They helped to found the Kingdom of Kounat, the most advanced civilization of Aernas both in magic and in technology. Kounat became the home of the Celestials, a society of humans blessed by the three Goddess, and who were allies to the two neighboring kingdoms of the elves and the dwarves.
History Goddess
Under the command of the three Goddesses, Archimedia became a region favored by the gods. Some of them even fell in love with humans and from this love arose special children. These children stood out as having above average skills and, over time, began to lead the Celestials. With the help of this civilization, the elves developed their magic even further, while the dwarves specialized in technology.
History Kounat
With the advancement of the three civilizations of Archimedia, the gods finally were satisfied with their creation. The most powerful of the Celestials was named the king of Kounat, and the gods set out to create the dimension of Xenia, leaving behind only the three Goddesses, Ernasis, Lisnar and Armenian.
However, while Aernas and Kounat thrived, Elyos declined into war, where the demonic tribes organized themselves against the powerful Asmodians. It was then that the great hero of the Asmodians, Duel Pone Jack/Zec Avenger, went crazy in combat and ended the war, virtually decimating all combatants on both sides of the battle and nearly killing the powerful Asmodian wizard Oz Pone Max Reinhardt.
With the Asmodians now commanding them, the demonic tribes began to rebuild. Wanting to avoid a new war in Elyos, the Asmodian leader Heitaros Cratsus decided to erect a demonic army, emphasizing that the demonic tribes were threatened by the existence of other civilizations outside of their world and therefore they should act first by destroying these other beings.
Willing to take the fight away from Elyos, Heitaros began focusing on the destruction of other dimensions. He led his army of demons through dimensional portals and headed into Aernas. The largest dimensional portal appeared to the east of Kounat, and the demonic tribe army marched for the capital of the city.
Although not all the inhabitants of Elyos agree with the invasion, they had no time to try to stop it since Heitaros acted very quickly. The raid also surprised the king of Kounat who, desperate, invoked the help of the three Goddesses, Ernasis, Lisnar and Armenian, and thus they led the forces of Kounat against the demonic army in a wild and terrible battle on the Artione Field.
The number of victims increased every moment, until the ultimate weapon created by Kounat, the Aernas Hammer, was finally activated. It was a weapon that united magic, technology, and even the divine power of the gods. Unfortunately, the weapon required so much energy that it could only be used once.
Fortunately, once was enough. The power of the Aernas Hammer was so great that it eliminated all of the demonic army infantry. Heitaros suffered serious injuries and fled back to Elyos through a portal. Without a leader, the rest of the army began to scatter across the continent.
However, it took the three Goddesses, who were already greatly weakened by the battle, a large amount of concentrated power to fully energize the Aernas Hammer. Before completely exhausting their strength, they realized that they would need to leave Aernas and return to their own heavenly dimension in order to recouperate and restore their energies. Before they left, the last thing they did to make the world safe was to seal off all the portals linking Aernas and Elyos.
The demons who were left behind and stuck in Aernas began to corrupt other creatures, giving rise to various monsters and putting a definitive end to the era of peace in which the world was. But it soon turned out that the monsters were not the only threat. A great evil had arisen within Kounat itself, and none other than its Prime Minister, Baldinar.
History Baldinar
Without anyone knowing, Baldinar had found the legendary Klara Libri, a sacred tome that contained all the secrets of the world, including all the information about the gods, the Creator God and the demonic tribes. Ambitious, Baldinar became insane and hatched a plan to become the new Creator God, and thus obtain absolute control over both the powers of good and of evil.
He began studying the demons that had been trapped in Aernas and collected their Demonic Essence, the source of the power of darkness. To function as the source for the power of good, he decided to use the power of the Goddesses which still remained within the Aernas Hammer. Following the instructions of the tome, he used this power to create the Soul Stone, a crystal that contained the divine power of the gods. His plan was to unite with the Hammer, the Stone, and the Demonic Essence, thus obtaining the ultimate weapon to become the new Creator. This eventually led to Kounat's tragedy.
Baldinar tried to use the Soul Stone to power the Aernas Hammer. He wanted to eliminate all that could become obstacles in their path, starting with the Highlanders, champions of the gods who had participated in the war. However, the only Kounatians who could control the energies of the Stone were members of the Kounat Royal Family, who were able to withstand the "geas" imposed on them by the gods, a kind of "consequence" to be able to use that power. Due to the corrupted Baldinar, the Aernas Hammer went totally out of control, causing a gigantic explosion that consumed entire the kingdom.
History Kounat 2
Thus, the advanced civilization of the Celestials met its end, the complete annihilation of the kingdom becoming a legend in the future. The explosion was so powerful that it also hit part of the kingdom of both the elves and the dwarves, killing both of their kings. With this, the dwarves believed that the elves had released a terrible magic to murder their king, while the elves thought that the dwarves had created a machine to destroy them. This initiated the endless war between the two races in Archimedia's crumbling region.
Present
Decades after the destruction of Kounat, despite the fact that the demonic tribes have disappeared along with the destruction of Kounat, the void left behind by the most powerful kingdom of the humans allowed dozens of monsters thrive. Taking advantage of this situation, Kaze'aze, the Queen of Darkness, encountered the forces of darkness and began her campaign for world domination.
History Serdin
On the continent of Bermesiah, humans lived in harmony with the local elves, who preferred to isolate themselves in their forests and islands, far from civilization that once again grew and expanded. Humans were divided between the two biggest kingdoms: Serdin, which explored the path of magic, and Kanavan, famous for its heroes and mighty warriors. The peace was sealed by vows of friendship between these peoples.
Together, the kingdoms coexisted in peace until their lands were slowly overcome by the evil Queen of Darkness. Kaze'aze managed to infiltrate the Kanavan Kingdom by murdering the Kanavan Queen's most loyal and trusted retainer, and then disguising herself as him. As a result, Kaze'aze was able to get close to the Queen and entice her into the ways of darkness. Kaze'aze blinded the Queen of Kanavan's eyes to truth and led her to wage a five-year war against the Serdin Kingdom. All of Bermesiah was devastated; many heroes fell in battle, and even the Queen of Serdin sacrificed her life in hopes of ending the fighting.
History War
The death of the Queen of Serdin broke Kaze'aze's hold over the Queen of Kanavan, who, after finally regaining her senses, erupted with fury over Kaze'aze's treachery. Kaze'aze escaped before the Queen of Kanavan could execute her. This lead the Queen to dispatch the Kanavan Trackers to punish the Queen of Darkness, but after years of searching, she was nowhere to be found and the Queen's Trackers vanished as well, forcing the Queen of Kanavan to abandon her search.
The Serdin Kingdom experienced a series of bizarre incidents related to Kaze'aze after the Five-Year War: these events revealed that Kaze'aze manipulated the Kanavan and Serdin Kingdoms into fighting each other. The newly appointed Queen of Serdin is now determined to prevent Kaze'aze from starting another war between the two kingdoms for the sake of the entire continent. The Queen of Serdin has prepared to confront Kaze'aze and counter her evil plans by organizing Grand Chase, an elite corps that will fight for all of Bermesiah.
- Controls:
- Basically, you play it by:
-choosing a character. (There are 17 characters in total)
-Select dungeon.
-Kill all the monsters
-Kill the Boss
-Clear the dungeon.
The most used button would be "Z" and the Arrow keys. Next would be the skill keys. MP characters have 3-4 skills meaning they only use "A,S,D,F' as skill keys. AP characters have 5 skill keys "A,S,D,F,G"
- Characters:
Elesis is a human warrior from Kanavan and leads the Ruby Knights. She had a beloved father, Elscud, who unfortunately, was a tracker that the Kanavan Queen dispatched. She joins the Chase in hopes of locating him, and possibly to avenge him. Elesis seems to have adopted leadership roles of the guild.
Lire, an elf, went into hiding with her companions, the Elven Corps of Eryuell Island, due to Kaze'aze's influence and the war. When the war ended, the elves formed an alliance with humans, and discovered the madwoman behind the scenes. Lire was sent on behalf of the elves of Eryuell.
Arme is a cheerful magician of the Violet Mage Guild in Serdin. She is extremely curious about the arts of magic, and even Kaze'aze's powers interest her. The reason of joining was simple: in hopes to encounter the evil queen and her magic in order to study it.
Ryan is an elven druid whose intentions are to preserve nature. He is first introduced to the group at Elven Forest in the form of a wolf trying to defend the forest. After defeating the Troll who begun the onslaught, Ryan joins the Chase.
Ronan, a loyalist to Kanavan, is introduced at Gorge of Oath. He requests the Grand Chase to aid him at Gaikoz's Castle and leaves after providing the group with Holy Bless. After defeating Gaikoz at his own castle, Ronan thanks the group and joins them on their journey to overthrow Kaze'aze.
Jin, the last remaining Fighter from the Silver Knights, is introduced at the Ruins of the Silver Knights, where he kills an Undead Fighter who was attacking Elesis. The Black Fairy Queen soon arrives in an attempt to kill Jin. He then asks the Chase to stall her long enough to gather his chi to finish her off, then he releases his move which nearly kills her. However, the Black Fairy Queen escapes, barely surviving. Jin then joins the adventure in hopes of avenging his fallen brethren.
Lass, a thief of the Silver Cross Thieves, is a "child" possessed by Kaze'aze. He was first introduced at Partusay's Sea where an illusion of him destroys a boat headed to Ellia and threatens the Grand Chase that they will be lost at sea forever. In Kamiki's Castle, the Possessed Lass makes his first physical appearance and taunts the Chase before leaving, only to come back and ressurect Elena as Kamiki and then leaves again. At Kaze'aze's Castle, Lass himself is battled, but the "limited" body is defeated. After Kaze'aze is officially slain, Lass is freed from her possession, and realizing his deeds he had done unwillingly, joins the Chase to make up for it.
Amy is the Oracle and celebrated Dancer of Xenia. She first appears in Lake Aurora for reasons unknown, spotting the Chase, but immediately leaves afterward. She is then encountered trying to escape the Temple of Cuatal, only stopping to meet the Chase and bless them with her Dance Fever. After saving Samsara from the evil clutches, she returns in possession of the Orb of Cycles, and joins the Chase to stop the Ascendant God's mission of chaos.
Sieghart is a well known hero of Bermesiah. 600 years ago, he battled in Kounat and was nearly killed, but soon reborn by the Highlanders. He is the only survivor of the Highlanders and Kounat, as everyone else except him and Mari was exterminated by Baldinar.
600 years later, he tries to join the Grand Chase, for reasons unknown. He meets a trio of women (Elesis, Lire, and Arme) at the Outer Wall of Serdin, unaware that they are actually the Chase, informing them that he seeks the Grand Chase and tells them the group to meet him at Xeniabefore leaving. Later, Lire and Arme learn that Elesis is a part of the House of Sieghart, and is actually the man's granddaughter.
Sieghart then meets the trio (as well as Ryan, Ronan, Jin, and Lass) in Xenia Border and finally learns that they are the Chase that he has been looking for. Sieghart advises them that Xenia is dangerous and runs off.
He is soon encountered again in Valstrath where he warns the group about the canyon's strange stones and mentions about Elesis' father, Elscud. He then leaves again thanks to Elesis's quarreling.
Sieghart stops in The Wyrm's Maw as the Chase catch up. Elesis finally gives up arguing and Sieghart informs the group about meeting Elscud. Sieghart then finally joins the Grand Chase.
Mari is an odd character who descends from an ancient kingdom called Kounat and, along with Sieghart, were the only survivors as everyone else was killed by Baldinar. However, Mari had gone through hibernation and lost all her memories in the process, although her body slowly remembers.
At the time the Chase escapes Kastulle Ruins Upper Floor, Mari awakens, but doesn't know who she is.
She is then encountered in the Temple of Destruction, whereas she eliminates a DK Mark-I and attempts to research its organs. After the Chase battle the remaining monsters, Sieghart whines, which stated by Elesis, is unusual for an immortal. Mari has disbelief at first, but learns after testing it herself. She then joins the Chase to furtherlate the research.
Dio is a Demon from Elyos and the chief of the Burning Canyon family, one of the major moderate demon groups. He fought to help protect Kounat, but is also the one who put Sieghart in his near-death state. After the war, Dio was trapped in Aernas. Ley's father, Peter von Crimson River, sensed something amiss from Dio and his family and sent his daughter to the human world to locate Dio.
At the same time Victor is killed in Victor's Fortress, Dio senses something amiss and attempts to stop it.
He is encountered in Relics of Kounat while attempting to destroy the Dimensional Portal. The Chase attempt to help him, but the demon pushes them off, saying they are "insignificant" humans who will only get in his way. After the battle, Dio acknowledges the Chase having a "use" and the fact that Kounat has a survivor. The demon is asked to join the Chase, but is reluctant, saying he does not need their help. However, Dio remarks of pursuing "private interests", and nonetheless agrees to go with the group.
Zero is also a Demon from Elyos. He was artificially built by Oz Pone Max Reinhardt, who required someone to wield Grandark, a weapon used to counter Void's Eclipse. However, Grandark refused to be wielded by anyone, even Oz, which prompted the creation of Zero. As of now, Zero constantly wanders around the world, searching for a source of power.
He appeared sometime before the Grand Chase passed through Kamiki's Castle. According to a legend, a vagabond knight known as the "Wanderer" dragged his blade across the ground, leaving strange marks.
In The Wyrm's Maw, Zero is encountered, acknowledging Sieghart's Soluna. Sieghart advises his team that this man might be dangerous. Zero then attacks the group with his Gran X, senses something, and leaves. Elesis suggests to follow him, but he is already long gone.
Zero appears again in Thunder Hammer where he encounters Void and his Eclipse. Void immediately recognizes him as a demon, but nonetheless leaves. Zero attempts to halt Void, but Grandark stops his master, as Transcendence as well as a newer demonic tribe strengthened Void to the point where he could defeat Zero. Elesis attacks and mentions how his Gran X resembles Elscud's abilities. Zero informs her that he met a red-haired swordsman during his travels (presumably Elscud), but Grandark tells him that idle chit-chat is unneeded at the time, and Zero leaves afterward.
Ley is another Demon from Elyos. She descends from the Crimson River family, another major moderate demon group, and helped defend Kounat alongside with Dio. Her father, Peter von Crimson River, sends her to Aernas to locate Dio because he sensed something amiss in the Burning Canyon family.
The Chase encounter her and her butler, Jeeves, in King Guang's Fen, asking the Chase if they have seen Dio, but they haven't. Disappointed, they leave.
Rufus is a Demon from the Underworld, and is Lass' half-brother. He descends from a group of Bounty Hunter Demons known as the Haros, who control the natural flow of souls. Rufus spent many years in Aernas doing his duties as a Bounty Hunter, but when he prepared to return home, he discovered a mysterious blue flame and decided to investigate it.
Rin is a deity and is the current incarnation of Agnesia, the goddess of life an purity. Agnesia faced a dire evil known as the Malevolent Horde, and sacrificed her immortality to seal it within her body. She was then cursed to continuously resurrect in order to keep the seal in-tact. In the form of Rin, she grew up in an uncharted village named Gaon, whose citizens treated her with love and care, but soon fell under siege and left Rin as the only survivor. Feeling the Malevolent Horde's strength growing within her, Rin departed to seek help from Kounat.
Asin is a mysterious human from Kanavan, and is a disciple of Jin's mentor who is also named Asin. After Victor betrayed the Silver Knights, Asin was left terribly wounded, but was found by a young boy who healed him. Grateful, Asin taught the young boy martial arts and told him about stories of his former student. Unfortunately, the two were attacked by monsters and Asin sacrificed himself once again to protect his student, but this time his injuries were too severe that he died two weeks later. The boy, after adopting his master's name, sought to become stronger than anyone, including Jin. Eventually, Asin stumbled upon the Grand Chase and encountered his master's former student.
