What age did you first discover anime?

At what age did you first watch anime? how did you discover it?
why did you get hooked to it?

we all have different answers and different point of views on why we watch anime.

so i'll start.

I first watched anime when i was 6-7 years old. And that was in 1998.
Kalakasan ng GMA-7 Palabas nila eh Gundam Wing. Since then na hooked na ako.
at lagi kong sinusubaybayan. Mojacko, Slamdunk, Saber marrionete,Rayearth,
noon.

At the age of 4... My first anime that I've watched is Astroboy ^_^

Galaxy Angel,Ranma 1/2, Vandread, Cooking masterboy, Boys be (pero di ko masyado napapanuod to. naboringan pako dito dati) sakura wars, Ayashi no Ceres at madami pang iba~ XD

14.... although i also watch anime in my younger yrs... i focus on it at my 14th year...
when I watch The World God Only Knows or also known as "Kami nomi zo shiru sekai".. I got addicted

I was hooked first by the animation not the story and then As I grew up, I learned to appreciate the story and Loved it ever since... :D

I discovered anime when I was 7 yrs old watching any anime in TV and since then when I was 8 yrs old I started learning to use computer and watching anime in my sisters laptop.

I remember watching Sailor Moon, Super Doll Licca, Akazukin Chacha, Gundam Wing, Magic Knight Rayearth when I was between 4-6 years old.

I discover anime when i was 4 or 5 years old. pichi pichi pitch was the first anime na naadik ako ng WAGAS

Tapos hanggang sa marami pa akong nadiscover.

Ngayon sobrang dami ko ng napanuod :))

ngayon lang ako naadik sa anime... pero I think naka panood ako ng anime 7 pataas..

I highly doubt the people who said 4-6 yrs old(but not all of them kay) they discovered anime. Same to older years but not teens.

My Vote would be 8 Years old. I "DISCOVERED" Anime while watching Mainstream ones, then I researched and knew other titles until what I became now. Nakalagay kasi Discovered Anime. Like I said, I highly doubt people who voted 4-6 years old discovered Anime at that Age. Kasi sa isip mong yon, Pustahan ang alam mo dun, "Cartoons" o "Robot Robot" "labanan" like that. Hindi mo pa alam na Anime hanggang sa nabasa mo yung word.

Pero hindi ko nilalalahat ha? Syempre may ANIMAX at HERO tayo dito sa Pinas kaya siguro alam mo na Anime yan. Pero pag 4-6 Years old baka ang alam mo pa dun "cartoons" nga.

Ako I discovered Anime when I was 8. Medyo Ironic pero pinanuod ko sa Cartoon Network LOL pero, pero alam ko na anime yun. Gundam Seed, Shaman king, Yu gi Oh and Pokemon. Alam ko na hindi cartoon yun, cinocorrect ko pa mga pinsan ko. Ni research ko mga yun, medyo hirap pa ako nun kasi di pa ako ganon kagaling mag internet. Google lang gamit ko. Fully discovered ko na ang Anime nung nag High School na ako at talamak na mga Video Streaming sites pati recommendations mula sa friends ko. Kaya pde ko sabihin 8-12 ko nadiscover and Anime.

Pero kung ang usupan kailan ako UNANG naka PANUOD ng Anime, 3years old. Voltes 5 at Pokemon. Otaku na daw ako nun kasi halos Voltes 5 at Pokemon Merch mga gamit ko XD. Pati mga VHS ng Voltes 5 meron kami galing Japan pa uwi ng mga lola ko. Isama mo pa Dragonball, magic knight rayearth at kung ano ano pa na pinapalabas sa GMA or ABS. So ayun. Kahit 3yrs old ako nakapanuod, honestly, hindi ko pa nadiscover noon. Hindi Discovery ang nangyari, kundi observation lang. :)

voltes 5, daimos, dragonball, monster rancher,slamdunk,yuyu hakusho,flame of recca,fushigi yuugi. xD

4 years old since i thought that cartoons and animes are same but when i realized that is when i grow up already when 14+ since to think of it i can think clearly wahahhaa =))

Slamdunk/HunterXhunter/ghostfighter/flameofreca/yugioh/ dragonballs/ DN angel yan mga yan napanuod ko at iba pa =)) kaso nakalimutan ko iba kaya d ko nilagay hahaha

actualy 5 years old ako nanonood na ako ng anime pero di masyado dahil wala pa akong gaanong naiitindihan pero nung 7 ako nung napanood ko ung slam dunk sa GMA-7 doon na nag start hilig ko sa panonood ng anime doon naren nag simulang umikot buhay ko
